Vendors and prospective couples beware:

is Still Do Media a scam, or just a poorly run business?

I was hired by Still do Media to provide video services for a July 25th, 2026 wedding with a contract that said payment would be made within 15 days. They hired me only two days before the scheduled event.

So far, no payment and minimal responses. All I am getting is stall tactics:

"Did you send the invoice?" "Sorry I've been out of town" "I've opened this case with my CEO and she's involved now" "This is the first time we've had a shooter report not receiving payment" "We all work remotely so I have sent messages to my team regarding this issue."

In addition, they hired another pro to provide photographic services for this wedding. So far, she has received the same result: no payment for services and delay responses to multiple attempts at communication.

Still Do Media presents itself as a national company, hiring vendors in a number of states. One would expect to see numerous reviews from weddings all across the country.

They do not appear to have any Google presence, no Google reviews, and no Yelp reviews... only a company website to lure unsuspecting couples. I was literally hired two days before the event! That should be another detail to think about when consideration of this company.

Negative reviews on ZOLA

Recent negative reviews that sound very similar to the wedding I shot. This couple only learned the names of their videographer and photographer the day before the wedding, not the "six months" that their website promises. In my case, I was literally hired 2 days before the wedding, so this new complaint tracks. Unfortunately for this couple, the "artists" did not even show up for their wedding. It appears the company did apologize and refund money, but not really helpful now that your big day has passed and you unfortunately trusted the wrong company!

In my research I discovered all the reviews posted on a rotating banner on the Still Do Media website were from two years ago, and they all mentioned a photographer by the name of Lola. She has never worked for Still Do Media at any point. They "borrowed" her positive reviews/testimonials and presented them as their own!

These reviews are not from weddings and are not from the work of Still Do Media!

I was able to obtain a last name and after contacting Lola, she confirmed that she's never worked with Still Do Media! Her company contacted Still Do Media and the reviews were removed. All good in the end, but it makes you wonder, why were they stealing someone else's reviews and posting them as their own????

In addition, above those reviews you can also see the scrolling banner of various reputable wedding sites and entities: Style Me Pretty, Wine & Country Weddings, Wedding Wire, The Knot, Whats up Weddings

I researched each of those, searched all of their individual vendor lists, and Still Do Media is nowhere to be found! By showcasing all those logos on their site, they are attempting to add unearned legitimacy, simply by association.

And it works! Potential clients see that list, and make the connection that Still Do Media is reputable.

The online wedding listing I could find is on Zola.

And those negative results are posted above.

Perhaps you've had positive dealings with this company, either as a client or as a vendor. I would love to hear from you. I just hope that others don't have to endure what the photographer and I are experiencing.
